Mount Rainier National Park

A 369 square mile reserve located in Washington State, Mount Ranier National Park was established in 1899.

The highest point, which is 6400 feet high, providing fabulous views of other mountains, volcanoes, river valleys, and woodlands can be reached by car.

What makes Mount Ranier especially famous is how it was established. Although Mount Ranier became the 5th national park, it was the first national park to be established subsequent to the creation of the Forest Reserve Act of 1891.
