Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump
Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump is one of the world 's oldest and best-preserved buffalo jumps, and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Located in the foothills of the Rockies, it has been used continuously by native people of the North American plains for over 5,500 years.

Waterton Lakes National Park
Waterton is a quiet, uncrowded National Park tucked into the Southwestern corner of the province of Alberta, Canada. It is a breathtaking part of the continent where the majestic Rocky Mountains rise suddenly out of the rolling prairies. Its uniqueness stems from a blend of unusual geology, mild climate, rare wild flowers and an abundance of wildlife. Waterton Lakes is a UNESCO Word Heritage Site, an International Peace Park and a Biosphere Reserve, the only park in the world that has these three designations.

Glacier National Park
Located at the boarder of Canada and the United States, just across from the province of Alberta in the state of Montana, Glacier National Park is made up of pristine forests, alpine meadows, rugged mountains, and spectacular lakes. With over 700 miles of trails, Glacier is a hiker's paradise for adventurous visitors seeking wilderness and solitude. It offers historic chalets, lodges, transportation, and stories of Native Americans.

Going-to-the-Sun Road
An incredible feat of engineering, this 50-mile pathway snakes its way up steep slopes, through narrow tunnels, past waterfalls and along some of the most spectacular mountain views in Glacier National Park. There are numerous turnoffs along the road where one can safely stop to take pictures and admire the views. The road's apex is at Logan Pass at an elevation of 6,646 feet.

Banff
A small mountain town nestled in the Canadian Rockies, Banff is the second highest elevation community in Alberta, with a population just over 7500. As part of the Canadian Rockies UNESCO World Heritage Site, Banff provides visitors with activities such as hot springs, gondola rides to the mountain tops and wildlife sightings in abundance.

Athabasca Glacier
Marvel at the raw beauty of the Athabasca Glacier in Jasper National Park. Stretching for almost 4 miles, take in the glacier by either driving around the ice field or from a lookout point on the glass Glacier Skywalk.

Ice Explorer Glacier Tour Activity Level: 1 Guests should be able to get on and off a coach and walk around on a glacier. Columbia Icefield Skywalk Activity Level: 2 Guests should be able to get on and off a coach and walk around for a 45-minute, self-guided tour.

Day 1: Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Day 2: Calgary - Waterton Lakes National Park
This morning, journey south to the prairie lands while enjoying the distant views of the spectacular Rockies. Visit Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the world 's oldest, best preserved buffalo jumps. Head-Smashed-In, in the foothills of the Rockies, has been used continuously by Aboriginal people for over 5,500 years. A Blackfoot guide brings to life the culture of the Plains people, the Buffalo Hunt, and the many secrets uncovered in archaeological digs. Continue traveling south to Waterton Lakes National Park. En route, pass through quaint villages and travel along roads sometimes traversed by grizzly bears, black bears, mountain goats, cougars, wolves, moose, and elk. You 'll even get to view and photograph the famous Prince of Wales Hotel. Tonight, enjoy dinner overlooking Waterton Lake.

Day 3: Waterton Lakes-Glacier National Park, Montana, USA-Waterton Lakes, AB
Today, experience Glacier National Park, a naturalist's paradise. Glacier preserves over one million acres of forests, Alpine meadows, and lakes, and is home to over 70 species of mammals and 270 species of birds. Enjoy a ride aboard one of its famous Jammer cars - built in the 1930s - along one of the most breathtaking roads in North America. Choose a fun ride** across this mass of glacial ice nearly 1,000 feet thick, the largest accumulation of ice south of the Arctic Circle -OR- take a walk onto a glass-bottom platform at the Columbia Icefield Skywalk to experience the breathtaking views of the Sunwapta Valley and witness the dramatic landscape. This afternoon, stop at stunning Peyto Lake, a glacier-fed lake that evokes pure serenity. Be on the lookout for bears and stately elk on your return to Banff.

Day 6: Banff - Lake Louise - Calgary
The famous glacier-fed, turquoise waters of Lake Louise are yours for admiring this morning. Perhaps you will choose to hike along the lakeshore or simply relax in the majesty of your surroundings. Enjoy lunch at the Ski Lake Louise Lodge before boarding the gondola, which ascends the mountain in fourteen minutes to a height of 6,850 feet above sea level. Later, enjoy the views of the prairies while en route to Calgary. Join your fellow travelers at Heritage Park for a farewell dinner celebrating the end of a memorable trip.
